Résumé
This study explores the role of pragmatics in intercultural communication among students of Anglophone Studies at Université Joseph KI-ZERBO. In a multicultural environment, students face challenges in effectively communicating across cultures, particularly when using a second language, English. The research investigates students' pragmatic competence and their ability to navigate intercultural interactions. Findings show that while students possess basic communicative abilities, their sociopragmatic awareness is underdeveloped. The study suggests practical solutions for improving students' intercultural communication skills, focusing on enhancing their understanding of appropriate language use in various social contexts.
